CELTA or TEFL?!

After I finished sending out my announcements on Spring Break (which involved hand addressing, printing, cutting, stamping and licking 80 envelopes and separate inside pieces), Mom and I discovered another possibility besides getting my TEFL certificate.

It turns out that CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) might be a more legitimate course. It's monitored by Cambridge and there are branches all over the world. So there are ones in Thailand, but even more exciting for my Religious Studies/Islam passion is the CELTA program in Ankara, Turkey. Belkint, one of the top universities in the capital and is recruiting new graduates to come and take the CELTA course and then help their own university students learn and/or improve their English-speaking skills.

Anyhow, I'm rather excited and am having a hard time studying. I'm going to send off my application to Bilkent as soon as possible. Best to keep all options open!
